We built this replacement lamp with one simple goal in mind: it goes straight into your Sidel Matrix Aoki blower and behaves just like the original. No messing around. We set it up with a 400V high-voltage input and a 300mm tube because that’s what the blower’s heating zone expects. The guts: halogen, quartz, and a solid R7s connection
Inside, you’ve got a shortwave infrared halogen element, snug in a high-purity quartz tube. That pairing is all about speed and stability—especially when the machine cycles on and off fast. The halogen cycle keeps the filament clean, so the temperature stays consistent over the life of the lamp. And the quartz body handles the shock of repeated heating and cooling without cracking. For the connection, we went with an R7s. That double-ended linear contact is the standard for this footprint, and it locks in solid. It can take the machine vibration without arcing, so it’s tough enough for the shop floor and reliable when you need it.
What it feels like on the PET blow molding line
In PET blow molding, preform temperature has to land in a tight window. Too cold, and you start seeing defects. Too hot, and you lose material strength. This lamp brings the heat quickly and holds it steady, so your heating profile repeats shot after shot. The 400V 2500W setup delivers serious heat density in a compact package. That also means your blower’s cooling and electrical supply need to be up to the task. If your line runs at high duty cycles, expect more ambient heat buildup. Make sure airflow is adequate and double-check your controller’s voltage tolerance. Bottom line: it’s a direct-fit lamp.
