Why Our Lamps Fit. Just Like That.
Here’s the thing about our preform heating lamps: we didn’t build them to just sort of work. We built them to slide right into your existing blow-molding line. No fuss, no waiting on special, proprietary parts. The reason we can confidently say they fit over 95% of machines out there? We stuck to the basics. We match the standard footprints and power setups the industry already uses. So you can swap one in without rewiring your whole cabinet or tearing apart the mounting. It just works.
Power That Hits Hard, and Fast
Heating preforms isn’t a slow burn. It needs a jolt of heat, and it needs it fast. Our lamps pack a solid punch, usually around 2500W, so the temperature jumps in seconds. The voltage options, like 400V, are chosen to match what you’ve already got running through your plant. No need for extra transformers. The tube length—roughly 300mm—covers the neck and body evenly, without heating outside the zone. But let’s be real: packing that much power into a small space creates serious heat. Your machine’s cooling system needs to be ready for it.
The Inside Story: Built to Handle the Heat
Inside, we use shortwave infrared halogen elements inside a quartz tube. It’s what gives you that rapid response and intense heat, which is exactly what PET needs. The internal halogen cycle keeps the filament stable, so it doesn’t burn out from all those on-off cycles. We also put a special reflective coating on the tube. It pushes the energy forward, so you’re not wasting heat and you’re protecting the parts inside. All that, in a small footprint. And the connectors? We use R7s and SK15 because they’re the industry standard. These two-pin ceramic connectors handle high current and high temperatures without loosening up, even when things heat up and cool down over and over.
What It Feels Like on the Floor
On the shop floor, it’s simple. Our lamps drop in as a direct replacement. You wire it up, set your parameters, and you’re back to work. That quick heat-up time means changeovers are faster. And the steady output keeps the preform wall thickness consistent. Because the lamps are universal, you can standardize your spares. Fewer surprises, less downtime. And when maintenance happens, your team can swap a lamp without needing special tools or waiting on a vendor. We keep these in stock and ready to ship. Because when your line is down, waiting isn’t an option.
